Dedicated to Inari \u014c-Kami (Great Deity Inari \/ \u7a32\u8377\u5927\u795e), one of Japan's most widely venerated deities, the shrine serves as a place of prayer for prosperity, success and good fortune.<\/p>\n                    \n\n                    \n                    <p class=\"wp-block-paragraph translation-block\">Inari \u014c-Kami (Great Deity Inari \/ \u7a32\u8377\u5927\u795e) is traditionally revered as the kami (deity \/ \u795e) of rice, agriculture, fertility, prosperity, commerce, worldly success and as the guardian deity of swordsmiths. Over the centuries, the worship of Inari spread throughout all levels of Japanese society, making Inari one of the most beloved and widely worshipped deities in Japan. Closely associated with this kami (deity \/ \u795e) are the kitsune (foxes \/ \u72d0), who are regarded not as the deity itself, but as divine messengers serving Inari \u014c-Kami.<\/p>\n                    \n\n                    \n                    <p class=\"wp-block-paragraph translation-block\">The establishment of the Inari-sha (Inari Shrine \/ \u7a32\u8377\u793e) beneath the go-shinboku (sacred tree \/ \u5fa1\u795e\u6728) was inspired by the frequent appearance of a kitsune (fox \/ \u72d0) that regularly passes through the shrine grounds near the sacred tree.
